Following a run:bike:run format comprising:
Begin with a warm up……10 arduous country kilometres around the Eastnor Estate using the same tracks that Land Rovers have been tested and developed on. The run is on a variety of terrain and conditions from rolling grassland (well a little bit anyway) to mud, wet mud and sticky mud. The course includes hills, waterfilled pits, muddy banks and did we mention mud. You will get very wet!
Then hop on your bike…….20km of off road mountain biking around the estate and edges of the Malvern Hills, a good mix of open tracks, paths and singletrack.
And to finish…a cheeky 3km run around the castle lake and maybe a little stream to finish.
Please note that for your health and safety we do have cut off times for the race. The cut off time for the first run is 2 hours, 30 minutes and 5 hours, 30 minutes total for the first run and bike ride. This then allows enough time for completion of the final short run before it starts to get dark. We need to ensure that everyone is back safe and sound before the light fades so hope you understand why we have introduced this.
If you think you might not be able to make these times, we are happy to transfer your entry to Mud Runner Oblivion or Classic when you might be feeling a bit fitter. To give you a reference point, last year’s back markers completed the course in 5 hours, 42 minutes. Obviously we want you to take your time and enjoy it but also want to make sure you are all safe.
The course is not suitable for road bikes (perhaps cyclocross if you have ninja skills), if you do not have a mountain bike you can rent a bike for the event with Drover Bike Hire and collect it on the day.

Mud Runner ICEBREAKER will start at 11.00am.
There is a small changing area. Most people arrive in their running clothes and bring a warm, dry change of clothes to get into afterwards.
There will be a race clock at the finish line. Results will appear at www.mudrunner.co.uk on Monday 16th February.
Race photos will be available to view and purchase after the event, as well as the slightly blurry photos your own guests and relatives are welcome to take.
Medical support will be present on the course and at the finish. You should be relatively fit and have no known medical conditions.
Toilet facilities are available at the start and finish. The Eastnor Estate is a wonderfully well maintained estate with SSSI areas, so please be respectful of this. It is definitely not a 5,000 acre toilet or rubbish tip so please don’t treat it as such.
One drinks station will be at about the halfway point on the run and another at the finish. You might want to bring your own water to consume beforehand (or some sort of energy drink….you might need that extra boost for Icebreaker!)
The first 5 men and first 5 women across the line will be awarded prizes on the day at the venue. There will also be awards for the first male and female veterans by age groups.
Fastest male, female and mixed team (minimum team size of 3).
Mud Tucker will provide a range of great hot and cold snacks for you to devour before and after the race.

These will be posted out two weeks before the race and we will send it to your registration address, so best not move house. If you do move, please tell us and yes we are always available for a housewarming, sadly Elsie (despite numerous false dawns) is no longer housetrained.
Once you have entered Mud Runner we will not provide any refund, transfer or credit either in full or in part whatever the circumstances of the entrants’ non-attendance.
