It's been very wet at Eastnor over the last few weeks and it has been quite a sight watching the Big Chill get set up, there is a lot of mud about, hopefully the weather will clear and it will be an awesome festival.

Sadly Elsie is missing it as he is on his hols, however on the bright side he has compiled his top ten list of running books to read whilst on your hols.  He is too idle to properly check the titles but I am sure a bit of googling will resolve any problems so... here is fluff elsie's top ten running books:

10 - "Extreme running" bit big to take on holiday but has nice pictures of ultra's all around the world
9 - "Survival of the fittest" by Mike Stroud - mike is the quiet fellow on many of Ranulph Fiennes's expeditiions
8 - "what i think about when i go running" by a japanese runner (can't remember the name)
7 - "Coast to Coast" - by matt beardsall, nice little book (almost a booklet) about Matt's coast to coast run across england, he has the same coach as elsie
6 "the looniness of a long distance runner" by a bloke - very funny about a someone preparing for the new york marathon
5 "feet in the clouds" by someone asquith - amazing book on fell running, the bob graham round is wild.
4 "Running for my life" by Ray Zahab.  Ray is one of the best ultra runners on the planet yet unbelievably modest - last year he ran for 112 days straight across the sahara averaging 45miles per day !
3 "confessions of an allnight runner" by dean kamazes.  Dean is the pinup boy of ultra runners, orders domino's pizza to be delivered to him whilst running
2 "born to run" by christopher mcdougall - story of a hidden tribe of ultra runners in the mexico copper canyon, all true but reads like a modern fairytale
1 "once a runner" by john parker jr (not the one that sang ghostbusters) - brilliant book from the 70's just back in print, it's fiction but beautifully written. terrible cover photo tho - see below

happy reading.
