Elsie has at last dragged himself out of his usual summer torpor, recovered from an unfortunate collision with the Big Chill and sorted details of the Mud Runner Junior.

The first Mud Runner Junior will take place on Sunday 16th October 2011 at 10.15am, 45 minutes before the Mud Runner CLASSIC.  The race will be 5kilometres around the castle grounds using as much mud as we can find and a few little OBLIVION style obstacles.

Runners need to be at least 5 years old to take part but there is no upper age limit.    Participants will get a goody bag and a Mud Runner Junior T shirt.  The cost is £12.50 per entrant.

Hope everybody has been able to take advantage of this good weather in the last couple of weeks and get out on the trails.

Attached is a photo from June when over 30 Mud Runners turned up and ran along the spine of the malvern hills to grab a bacon sandwich and see the sun come up on Mid Summer's Day.  Sadly the sunrise was obscured by clouds but the atmosphere was fantastic.  It will probably become an annual event...
